During the evening hours of May 4, 2007 EF-5 Tornadoes roared through South Central Kansas destroying and damaging farmsteads and virtually destroying the community of Greensburg. Thirteen people lost their lives as a result of the storm and hundreds of lives were forever altered. In order to organize the efforts of the thousands of volunteers, faith based groups, and NGO's, SCKTRO was formed under the guidelines of the NVOAD.  We worked diligently for nearly two years to meet the unmet needs of individuals impacted by the storms and to help people put their lives back together.  Our work is nearing completion and we are in the process of disbanding our recovery group.   We are thankful for all the donation and volunteer help we've received.  It has been a blessing to be of service in response the needs of our sisters and brothers.                            If you want to volunteer in Greensburg - see the information below Want to Volunteer?
